As a traditional company with over 70 years of history, Elektroporcelán a. s. focuses on innovation and sustainability. We are among the first in our field to complete a comprehensive calculation of our carbon footprint, including indirect emissions in the supply chain (Scope 3), thereby setting a new standard for responsible environmental practices.
This challenging step was inspired by one of our key customers, ČEPS. A crucial role in the process was also played by the Czech digital calculator developed by Impact Metrics.
Thanks to this precise calculation, our company has identified opportunities to reduce emissions, such as transitioning to green energy and increasing the use of recycled materials. We also plan to promote these measures among our suppliers. Our experience shows that with good preparation and the right tools, carbon footprint analysis can be carried out quickly and efficiently.
The completed report has already sparked interest from other companies in the industry, including ČEZ Distribuce.
